Dead Icons – Battersea Power Station, London

Battersea Powerstation needs no introduction!

A decommissioned coal-fired power station located on the south bank of the River Thames, Battersea Power Station ceased generating electricity in 1983, but over the past 50 years it has become one of the best known landmarks in London and is Grade II listed.

Too expensive to renovate, too iconic to knock down, no one really knows what to do with the grandiose landmark.
Although there are proposals for new ideas, will they ever materialize? Who knows….
