Dead Icons – Millennium Mills, London

“Spillers” Millenium Mills lies isolated and imposing occupying a fifty nine acre site along the Royal Victoria Docks in the south east of London. Founded in 1905 and used for the production of flour, the Mills is one of London’s few remaining relics paying homage to Britain’s post-industrial Landscape.

Despite the sites derelict state, the Millenium Mills have become a well loved icon of post-industrial Britain and have made their way into many aspects of popular culture being used as a backdrop in films and television shows.

Housed within the same grounds also lies an old, now restored, grade II listed grain silo, labled the ‘D’ silo.
