New Year – New Website
There’s been a distinct lack of posts over the last couple of months and I’d just like to let you all know that this has mainly been down to me working on a completely new website ready for the new year. Everything will become slightly more integrated, and the whole look and feel will undergo a complete facelift.
I’ve also been holding back a lot of images ready to refresh the content for the 2011 release, so I really hope you enjoy what’s coming up. In the mean time, here is a shot from some recent trips to Richmond park over the Autumn.

Returning Stranger – Anthony Anaxagorou
I recently helped a good friend & writer Anthony Anaxagorou with the cover for his latest book entitled “Returning Stranger”.
Anthony is an extremely talented poet & writer, and Returning Stranger will be the 4th book in his collections of writing. We wanted the cover to be completely subjective, but carrying an underlying message of duality or the returning to something once forgotten.
I think we managed to create a pretty striking cover for the book, leaving interpretation open to the reader. “Returning Stranger” will be available October 31st 2010 from his website store: http://store.anthonyanaxagorou.com/
If you have any interest in life, philosophy, or what it really means to be human, I urge you to pick up a copy.

Iquitos – Amazon Basin
Nearly 2,000 miles up-river from the mouth of the Amazon lies the jungle-locked city of Iquitos.
Accessible only by boat or plane, Iquitos holds the title of being the world’s largest city that cannot be reached by road.
I have included a small selection below, but have put the full collection of photos up on the main website.

Portraits – Fiona
This was one of the first photos I took with the Canon 5D, and after a second look I’m actually very happy with the focus & lighting. To date I’ve usually favoured taking photos ‘without‘ consent rather than ‘with’, but over the next few months I will aim to increase focus on portraiture.

Dead Icons – Battersea Power Station, London
Battersea Powerstation needs no introduction!
A decommissioned coal-fired power station located on the south bank of the River Thames, Battersea Power Station ceased generating electricity in 1983, but over the past 50 years it has become one of the best known landmarks in London and is Grade II listed.
Too expensive to renovate, too iconic to knock down, no one really knows what to do with the grandiose landmark.
Although there are proposals for new ideas, will they ever materialize? Who knows….

Dead Icons – Millennium Mills, London
“Spillers” Millenium Mills lies isolated and imposing occupying a fifty nine acre site along the Royal Victoria Docks in the south east of London. Founded in 1905 and used for the production of flour, the Mills is one of London’s few remaining relics paying homage to Britain’s post-industrial Landscape.
Despite the sites derelict state, the Millenium Mills have become a well loved icon of post-industrial Britain and have made their way into many aspects of popular culture being used as a backdrop in films and television shows.
Housed within the same grounds also lies an old, now restored, grade II listed grain silo, labled the ‘D’ silo.

Millennium Dome, Greenwich Peninsula – London
I’ve been getting the chance to explore London a fair bit recently, getting into areas I don’t usually go and keeping the camera at hand. Its great some of the views you can get of familiar landmarks with a little effort…
